Shari's Ob triage Experience!

Well last night I went to the Ob triage cause I was contracting every 3-5 minutes full on big contractions. I have been contracting since 28 weeks but these were regular and painful like I had with Maci before I had my csection with her.

I am 36 weeks on Sunday so my doctor wanted to slow the contractions down at least till Sunday. I got three bags of fluid through IV and three shots of terbutaline. Each shot makes your contractions slower and less intense. The first shot worked until it wore off. The second shot worked until it wore off again! The third did the same but you can only get three shots. So yah!

So I was sent home. The baby is fine and my water is leaking and I dont dilate so I guess that is good. He is definitly big enough but the lungs they are worried about!

When I went into triage I told them my due date and the lady was like man it looks like you are ready to pop. Yah I know I am huge!

So for now I guess wait it out see how it goes and see my doctor Monday if need too!

  1. Holy cow. I just saw you yesterday. Hopefully you can hang in there until tomorrow, and then they'll let you go. Hopefully since he's so big, his lungs will be developed too. We'll keep you in our prayers. Good luck.
